Great set of shots Noely well captured. Great detail and colour. And not an antenna in sight :o
I think some cropping will finish these off nicely. #1 needs the bird more to the right and the rest appear to need something taken from the bottom to balance them out.
Thanks…it’s funny you should say that…..these were cropped using a rule of thirds grid as an overlay :D
But rules are meant to be broken :-)
The ROT doesn’t really have to apply to the entire object. It can apply to parts of the object, e.g. the eyes, wingtips, etc. It’s also key to have a moving object appear as if it is moving into shot rather than out of shot. With nice shots like thse you can also use another composition guide… diagonals pointing to corners.
Rule of thirds is not valid in the air…. :lol:
