84-year-old Leica, the world’s most expensive small camera.
The rare camera fetched a world-record price of €336,000 ($551,151) for cameras of its type at auction.
This makes the tiny portable black camera dating from 1923 the most expensive small camera in the world and the second most expensive camera ever sold at auction.
It was bought by an anonymous European collector.
The Leica camera was the seventh of a series made in Germany to test the market for portable cameras, and intended for export to New York.

I spotted the most fantastic sunrise this morning on the way to work… has me longing to head down to St. Helen’s Bay tomorrow morning, the place where it all started for me. Maybe I’ll rediscover my mojo and start critiqueing here more often. Watch this space!

I’m up in the D-U-B at least once a week. Would also be interested in a Saturday visit to trawl the streets for some photos sometime.
I’ll also be signing autographs at the Charlie Waite Event in Portlaoise next month if anyone is attending. OK, OK…. bad joke, letting it go to my head now :lol:
