Woooo! Scaaarrrry! Bet there were no deer to be seen after this display. And it’s certainly no way to hold a camera…probably a Nikon user
As long as you had fun that’s all that matters!
Alan.
RavenAshMemberDenverDollParticipantThanks you three
Ossie~~~ glad you like!
Alan~~~definitely a Nikon user…and I think you have a fair idea of which one exactly
Ravenash~~~ hahahahaha…good scarecrow for sure..definitely a good scaredeer as Alan suggested
Shar…..I just lurve Halloween 8)
RobMemberLooks like the High Priest of some arcane religious sect calling
his flock to prayer ;) I hope you used this opportunity to throw something
heavy at him after you photographed him…I may dress up as an air stewardess this Halloween :)
Rob.
DenverDollParticipantRob~~~

Can you just imagine what heck there would be to pay if I scratched his Precious LOL…
I think you’d make a very nice stewardess Rob…very nice 8)
PeteTheBlokeMemberHAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Bah. Keep your stupid American customs in America. I’ve got bleedin’
fancy dress costumes to sew because of your American exports. I’ve a son
who wants to go as a soldier from the Xbox (what’s the world coming to?)
and a daughter who wants to go as the purple nutty one out of Quality Street! Not only that, we have to protect them from the 5 million drunken louts
who’ll take over the town centre by 8pm, whilst still letting them have fun without being
cast out by their friends as weirdoes. It’s like Quadrophenia from the parents’ point of view.
I think I’ll get drunk on stout and lecture them about mor-al-it-eeeee.jb7ParticipantCultural differences Sharon-
Don’t mind him-If Trick or Treat had been a Victorian invention,
Dickens might have modeled a character on a bloke like that-You say Potatoe,
I say they’re Weirdoes-j
DenverDollParticipantOM MY GOODNESS
Pete you are grumpy today
I have heard the Halloween isn’t exactly the same over there..though I don’t remember actually ever being there on Halloween so I can’t say for sure. Seems I am always home with my kids..sorting through their candy and taking out anything that is peanutbutter and chocolate (another thing you don’t appreciate) and reminding the kids that with their allergies I must eat all things of that nature.
Anyway~~~you just gave me a good idea
I think I’ll go as Pete the Bloke..
Hey~~~Pete..critique my shot…no one has critiqued the shot :D I think it’s scary…and has nice tones…there’s my own critique
PeteTheBlokeMemberDenverDoll
Sorry, I’m very rude. Your shot is lovely, but to me it looks more like a
scarecrow than the grim reaper. A scarecrow holding a telescopic hair-dryer.
The colour is nice and I like the way it layers, which makes the whole thing
almost 3D.Now, about your costume for Hallowe’en…
You’ll need some more photos of me in order to get it right, but you can start
with the nood tattooed dood shot as a reference point. I expect the hairy chest
could be reproduced with an old hearthrug (preferably with some bleach spillages
on it to look like the greying hairs). My tattoos could be done with
indelible marker pen (in case of rain, and it’ll wash off in the end). You’ll need a
beard – get one in a fancy dress shop – and a hat, and a pair of specs. But is your nose going to be big enough? If you don’t want to go for the full nose job,
use plasticine. Please will you take some pics because I’m terribly excited about this.
Pete
DenverDollParticipantOh for Pete’s sake!
That’s sounds like a lot of work..
Can I not just have the neighbor kids draw some tribal stuff on my arms…
I think I got the beard handled if I just don’t go for the weekly facial…and no the nose will not do…but I have some grouch marx glasses and I’ll chop off the glasses part…though hey wait..I think I have seen you wearing specs at some point?
Photos will be posted here
