Hard act to follow
Yup – it’ll take a good one to better this shot. The contrasts, lines and the anticipation have made for a great shot here. Great capture.
Alan.
jb7ParticipantGreat shot,
well spotted-I think you might be losing some detail in the blacks though,
could be worth trying to bring it out-j
pete4130MemberThanks for the feedback guys. There is alot more detail in the blacks than I’ve shown here. I wanted it to have more contrast than it should to emphasise the background a little more. Looking at it again I should have held back a little more to keep the detail jb7.
Pete.
RobMemberSuper shot. Even without the missing detail.
Really well composed and striking image.Rob.
mgstParticipantSwordieMemberrichiehatchMemberYeah nicely executed shot… perfect composition and lovely lines etc…! I like the toning just the way it is…!

ossie13ParticipantJay KingParticipantgreat composition… the lines work wonders.
What about cloning out (or cropping) the two bits of lines on the top left and top right of the image? And if you wanted you could clone out some of the darker marks on the wall (or what ever it is!)… although the little face/skull type thing is quite funny! Almost like death waiting for his chance to strike lol!
FlipflipParticipantTop quality shot.
The lines work so well. Great conversion too.
Dont have anything to critique on this.
randomwayMemberNot the typical overcrowded street shot you see all the time. Clean and thought over. The contrast is a thing that is up to you. I’m sure that this image would look good even if posterized to a solid black and a blown white. No need for more details, the hands, the face and even the rope is quite detailed.
This is excellent work that I like to look at. Thanks for sharing.
ExpresbroParticipantJust trying to browse through all the stuff I missed while away killing my skin cells, and I think this is a fabulous image. I agree with Joseph about the blacks, but by the sounds of it you may be able to rescue them if you are inclined. Irrespective…great shot and well captured. Really like it.
AllinthemindParticipantReally good, I’m sure you could re=process to hold more detail in the blacks without losing the “Punch”.
Great stuff.
