This is an image with one of my daughters in it. I used photomatix to edit it. Not everyones cup of tea, but different..

HDR can work on some images really well, but personally I dont really like it
when it is pushed too far, makes the photo look like it should be in a comic.
But that is just personal opinion and as you say not for everyone. As for the
composition the girls seem to be looking at something and maybe including
that or a hint of it would have been nice.
