This is a shot of my nephew ( Red Hair), playing in the under 10 cup final yesterday. It finished Swords Celtic 1 Ratoath 1. I dont normally do sport photography. Its hard as the little feckers dont stand steady like my landscapes do :) iso was pushed all the way but didnt turn out so bad. CC welcome as usual
Does No comment normally mean good or bad? anyways anyone any thoughts on how it could be improved so?

I’d crop it down more, removing the boy on the right (no 11), and probably also cropping out the kids in the background, as well as cropping down.
That might just be my personal taste though.
I do a bit of sports myself and took some advise that said “crop tight and just leave the action” It works all right, but I think the three young lads on the fence add a bit more to this than an action sports shot, I would crop #11 out though. You stopped the action well and your nephew should be happy with it…hope he didn’t get the boot in the face :(

Thanks for advice Pat. I do like the lads on fence so wont crop them but might get rid of no.11. its more of a sports environment shot than a sports action shot. thanks again

Just wondering it this image was taken on ‘one shot’ or
continuous mode? Might be better without the ball
