Shooting these types of sports is very difficult. I know from when I started shooting BMX years ago. Looking back at some of my first captures now makes me cringe and laugh!
I think the hardest thing is to actually know what the person is trying to do, and then knowing the point when to hit the shutter. I’m guessing this guy didn’t plan on landing on his backside but you were expecting him too, so well timed!

I love the idea of two dozens skater dudes all trying to be cool
and then falling on their asses. We should get this printed out ten feet
tall and attach it to the front of the Central Bank.Great pic – dispite any technical imperfections.

I have to agree with Robs comments, although I’m not rattling your cage :) For me, it’s too soft, from what appears to be a combination of missed focus and motion blur. It doesn’t work for me. There also seem to be some blocked up shadows in the conversion. I’ve only tried shooing skaters once before and it’s not easy..
