Richard Burton’s stentorian tones told me as I looked at this-

    Beats my big tripod anyway-

Are you getting one for the back of the Landie?

Now there’s an unusual shot. Was someone getting artistic when they were parking the things or what? Care to share the bsckground story

Are these the ones along the Naas road? Often spotted them, always in unusual poses.
Someone must be artistic, or at least have time on his hands!

I’ve seen them a few times as I passed..and kept meaning to go back with my camera..

I use them from time to time. I guess I should take my Camera with me up about six stories, bet some interesting wide angle shots could come from it :!:
Nice capture Rob. Maybe if you stopped inside one of there reps would take you up for a few shots.

It took a while for this picture to load and it built up beatifully, line by line and I really loved it. They look like giant insect-like monster. When it got to the point where it started showing trees and the cars and the fence it instantly lost power. In other words, maybe if you crop this photo differently it may gain impact.

Now there’s a thought – a cherry picker for the back of the Landie…

Robbie you’re right; this is the place at the Ward, beside the Coolquay
Lodge on the old Ashbourne Road. Meant to photograph it lots of times
and finally stopped the other day. There’s probably a better shot to
be had, but I was in a bit of a rush…

    Thanks for all the comments…

    Mighty shot Rob,

I see this kinda stuff every day of the week, its always the case that sometimes I can’t see the wood for the trees.

I’ll have to start taking the oppurtunities presented to me. At the moment, I have access to : a prison, a meat factory, an airport, a high rise hotel, a hospital and a few more I can’t think of. All really interesting places, but where’s my camera? In the back of the bleeding car.

    Must try harder…..

    And again, great shot Rob.

    Cheers Ken. Appreciate the comments.

I know what you mean about seeing thing every day of the week, but not
being able to see the wood for the trees. I often set myself the challenge of
visiting the same location over and over to try to ‘see’ something new…

    Rob.
