SANCHOMember
Hey everyone, only just found this place now! it seems pretty cool. Anyhoo i’m a second year journalism student in DCU and i hope to get into photojournalism..just gotta save up for a camera first….and a computer….and a tripod….and a website…and a printer….and……you get the idea. So yeah hello.
AliParticipanthey Sancho, welcome to the site. I know all about the life and times of a student, was one for quite a while :) I can’t say i miss it . Happy posting, love your avatar.
SANCHOMemberMarkKeymasterHey Sancho,
Welcome to the site. Look forward to seeing and hearing from you.
Thanks
MarkSANCHOMembercheers Mark, well you won’t be seeing much of my stuff so far because at the moment i only have a crappy 2 megapixel compact..my phone has more resolution!!! oh yes and my name is actually James, Sancho is just my username/avatar thingy. I borrow my dad’s Kodak z740 which although isn’t a top of the range SLR it’s certainly streets ahead of the Nikon i have.
MarkKeymasterHey James,
On the site here it doesnt matter what the equipment is, is what you do with it
that counts :) We have folks here with all different types of cameras so don’t be shyMark
stasberMemberHi James
Warm welcome indeed! Hope you find this site as compulsive as your time allows! HCB is one of my all time top inspirations, his stuff is just timeless. As for cameras – check out the toy camera threads (here and here) – can’t get ‘crappier’ than that, yet kudos to those who got some pretty good results (from the Holga)! Best of luck in your studies and endeavours!
