Hello all, from Limerick.

Hello everyone.
I’m a new-comer here after lurking around several photography forums for a while.
I’m interested in photography for years but lately got Photoshop Elements so I’m on a new learning curve.
Using a Canon DSLR.This looks like a great place to learn, and hopefully make a few new acquaintances.

Welcome John. As I just mentioned to Tom in another thread, Limerick Camera Club is a great place to meet other photographers, and also a great place to learn. Starting up again after the summer break in a few weeks time, Wed nights from 8pm to 10pm.

Welcome to the site. I’m also living in limerick so if you want to meet up give me a shout. I have used a friends Nikon D60 and its a great machine for beginners. If you could afford to strech to a D90 you may be better off.If you are around the castletroy area on Wednesday 9th September the Phototgraphic Society of the Univeristy of Limerick will be in the arena with all the other clubs and societies from the university signing up new members. We will be having photography classes each week with a brilliant local photographer, Peter O’Donnell, and will be going on trips through out the year. You are more than welcome to come along as the society is open to anyone, not just staff and students of UL.
