Looks like you’re spotted! They’ve got that getting ready to run look :-) Nice rich colours, although I think they may be Sika if they’re in Dublin, not sure.

They could be Sika, not sure of my deer types :P I just thought they were red deer, due to the beautful rich red of their coats and their markings.

You were fortunate indeed. These usually disappear at a rate of knots as soon as anyone appears over the horizon.
