Hello all,
Greetings from Austin, Texas. I’m Ryan. I’ve dropped in on PI from time to time to read thoughtful critiques of others’ photos, and figured it’s about time I post some of my own work.
I’ve played with cameras for years, but I didn’t get serious about it until a few years ago when I took a job as an architectural historian. The manager pressed a $1500 (at the time) Canon DSLR into my hands and told me to take good photos of old buildings before they fell down. Most of my photos have an architectural bent to them, but I like to shoot all sorts of things. I’m hopeful PI will help me improve my technique with the camera and in post-processing.
My dad is originally from Belfast. Some of my extended family still live in the north. I’ve been to Ireland a few times and hope to return soon.
