    hi everyone

I need your help. I am a new guy to photography. i bought a nikon d40 dslr as a starter camera a couple of weeks ago, and today I bought a Sirius 80-200mm F4.5-5.6 Zoom Lens for Nikon, but I am worried if it is compatible or not with my camera??

Would be great for some feedback on this

    regards

    Hi,

Just looked at the lens you bought. No reason it wont be compatible. You’ll have to focus manually of course and you probably wont get any metering information, but it will work and will mount no problem on the body.

I’ve never heard of Sirius lenses, but for the price you got it for it’s a good deal either ways.

Be curious to see some images taken with it whenever you receive it.

    Cheers

many thanks for your help. It says on ebay, where I bought it, that is for nikon, but tried to google the lens and could find no reviews on it or compatibility info.

    Hope will be ok

    Cheers anyway

It should work okay. If you would like to buy cheap lens you can try and find some old cameras, SLR users that do not use their old cameras anymore and they give them away with lens included.
