Help with lens

I,m looking for a new lens for sport and wildlife can anyone help? I was thinking of Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM Lens. I have the canon 550D.
70-200mm f/4 is a lovely lens. Sharp, clear and good.
But, if you shoot under very dull conditions or floodlights, you will really need the f/2.8 lens.
Otherwise, 70-200mm is a decent range for sport.

Tamron, in general, have much poorer quality control. Some lenses are fine, but some are soft.
Just be careful.
In general, you’ll be hard pressed to find a bad Canon 70-200mm lens.
