I browsed my old photos because it’s not possible to take new shots while the weather is so cold; and found this heron. This shot was taken in Vancouver (near Stanly park). People walked around the heron and discussed about him. They were sure it’s a stuffed bird (heron didn’t move at all). And when all people around decided “Yes! It’s not a real bird, only a stuffed one”, the heron flutter and flew.
That’s a good story. I’m not sure flutter is the word I would use for a heron
in flight – I’m always astonished when they unfold those huge wings.
Where do they keep them when they are standing?
