Hey im a newbie

hey,
peter here from cork.i have a normal aul powershot s500 at the moment.
im workin as a writer for a local mag and i take pics of gigs i review etc.
im thinking of gettin the canon 400d so im teaching myself about things like iso and apature etc…so much to learn… :roll:

Well Peter, you picked a good place to start.
Read the threads and ask those questions that we all asked but felt were silly. It’s the only way. And don’t forget to start posting the images you produce. You’ll get advice – some subtle, some not but it’s all in the vein of improving everyones standards. You have no idea what you’ll get out of it! :D

Welcome aboard Peter. We have some members who specialise more in Gig photography. If you browse the relevant forums you’ll come across them. I’m sure they’d be only to happy to share any tips etc.
And don’t mind Mark…he was just so excited at seeing another Cork member he probably thought it was the second coming of St.Patrick…hehehe!!
