Hi, my name is Warren and I was a keen photographer a few years ago but work, kids, real life etc. got in the way.
I’ve made a decision to get back in the saddle so here I am. I don’t have a flickr page and I’ve never even seen photoshop so any photo’s you see from me will be uploaded straight from my memory card with little or no image manipulation. I hope I can achieve the standards that others on this forum have reached!
I look forward to learning from you all,
Woz
Welcome to the site! I certainly understand the intrusion of kids and real life into photography. I wouldn’t trade my kids for the world, but they do cut down on photography time.
The best advice I could give you would be to buy a copy of Lightroom and shoot in RAW. It will make a big difference, and Lightroom isn’t too hard to get to grips with, and it’s much more reasonably priced.
Welcome to the site and I hope you find time to indilge in
this fantastic hobby.
As Doug says your kids are priceless and photography is only a hobby for most.
In my experience there are very few photographs that wouldn’t benefit from even a little processing.
In fact if you shoot Jpegs your camera processes the images for you.
Some post processing software is inexpensive and shooting RAW opens up lots of possibilities.
