Hi everyone, just signed up to this forum. I have always enjoyed photography and finally got my finger out and did something about it earlier this year and joined my local camera club. Now I am hooked and am loving it. I really am a true beginner, even though I have been taking photos with a point & shoot for years. But I aspire to be a good photographer and need to enter the DSLR market. I have decided on Canon and I have between €800 to €1200 to spend. (Obviously the less spent the better in the current climate). I don’t want to buy at the lower end of the DSLR market and find in a couple of years when I get good at this that I need to upgrade to a better model. Having said that don’t want to spend on a bridge camera either i.e.the “Mark II” cameras.
So having stated the above and knowing that the “L” plates are on, which is the best Canon DSLR to buy and which high street shop gives the best value?
All comments very welcome and I look forward to using this message board
Hi and welcome to the site, have you considered buying secondhand? There are always good
bargains to be had and really the most important part of your kit are the lenses, my advice
would be to pick up a good second hand body and then put your money into lenses, the
lenses you will keep forever but can guarantee you will “upgrade” the body sooner or later.
