I found this great resource a couple of weeks ago, and since I have been using it continuously ever since, I feel it is only right to step on up to the plate and say hello.
I have just migrated from a 1998 Canon EOS 500n (plus lenses) via my son’s well used 2004 Canon PowerShot A75 to a Canon 350 Rebel XT, which I purchased in NYC last August. The marital budget wouldn’t quite stretch to a 30D….yet! No longer restrained by the ever increasing cost of developing films every month and embracing DSLR technology, a new Epson 4990 scanner and software such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, I feel I have discovered a new world!
Welcome Carpedeum. You’re right about this site being a great resource. It also has a really fine group of people always ready to share their knowledge. I’ve hung around a couple of other discussion boards and this is by far the friendliest and most helpful.
You’re very welcome indeed and yes this site is a great resource for photography hints, opinions and C&C. Good to have you aboard, (shame about your choice of footie team).
Welcome on board, this site is great, very addictive as I’m sure you’re finding out. Excellent photos on your flickr site. Good observation of the ‘foreground interest’ rule which makes for much more pleasing photos.
