Hi From Co. Clare

:D Hi folks, Just found this forum hte other day and it seems like a great forum for sharing ideas. I’ve been living in Ennis for 2 years now and would be interested in chatting with others from Clare about the best spots for photos. I like my landscapes, although a new baby has my spare time fully occupied at the moment. Looking forward to chatting with all in the Banner county (and the rest of you).

Welcome Tom. We must get together for an outing. Myself and a couple of other members from Limerick Camera Club go on informal outings up the coast on a regular basis. We also have regular strobist (see google) outings around Limerick where we play with off-camera flashes and wireless triggers, and all that gumph.
Also Limerick Camera Club is starting up again soon in Mary Immaculate college in Limerick on Wed evenings ad 8pm, it’s a great place to learn.

looks like you have your main model there for your portraits. Plenty of fun ahead but keep the grubby little fingers away from the lens. The temptation is going to be too much for the little critter :)

Welcome to the site. Great for browsing on those sleepless nights (and days). Congratulations on the new arrival. Do you have transport? Spend a bit of time in Clare now and again, lots of variety. The burren is awesome, and the Cliffs of Moher, so many villages with lots of caracter, doolin etc. It depends what you want to photpgraph. Sunrise and sunset are recommended for landscapes so a bit of exploration of the shannon (Scarriff is an amazing place) in the morning and the coast in the evening should keep you busy on the back roads!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Dave, I’d be very interested in meeting up sometime. I had a look at your websites and you some lovely shots there. David, as you suspected, most of my shots over the last few months have been portraits of junior. He’s turing out to be a right litle poser.
