    Hi All
Its been a while since ive last posted so hope everybody keepin alright :D I’m in a bit of a quandry(if thats a word) as im currently operating from a retail unit on the high street but the shopping centre where im located is soon closing down for renovation and when they re-open they are letting it out to a major UK store which will no doubt use the whole store for their business. Its also the end of my lease there to so im faced witha dilemma of trying to find another suitable space somewhere else or i could work from a converted garage where i would have twice as much space and very little rent. Heres how i see the pro’s and cons

(Pro’s) Garage -800 Sq Ft of space, Low rent, Loads of Parking, Can open at any time 7 days if needed
(Cons) Lower footfall, Initial investment for improvements. Increased spend on advertising.

If planned i would need to consider my marketing very carefully as advertising and word of mouth would be my only form of atttracting new and potential customers.
So im just wondering has anybody made this transition or are even working from their own homes and is it working?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards
    Ben

You’d be amazed at what you can do in a garage if you put your mind to it. Kevyn Major Howard shoots a lot of his actor headshots in his garage – take a look at the Quicktime video under the Media – PR link on his site (you’ll find it near the bottom in the TLC – Discovery Channel Documentary section; best download the larger one).
