Excellent image – reminds me of some of SteveD’s shots in terms of colour and presentation. Overall it’s a pity you weren’t able to get a sheep closer/larger in the frame so that it became a central point of interest. As it is, my eye darts all through the image and the sheep in particular with nothing dominating.
But that is only how a great shot could be improved into a fantastic shot imho. Did you use a grad filter for the sky?
Thanks, Brandyman, I think they were scared of the 2 toddlers I had with me and decided keeping their distance was a good idea.
Don’t use filters, just Photoshop. Here’s the original:
Fantastic, I really like how the light is from one side – the photoshop’d version of course! What did you do get so many of them to look towards you? :D
Love that image Mick. Despite the lack of a central point of interest I think it works really well overall. I’ll definitely have to pick your brains regarding some of the stuff you’re doing with photoshop. I’m only starting out there myself and haven’t a clue. :?
I’ve no problem giving a tutorial, Lorraine, but I usually through out the PSDs after I make a jpg.
Next time I have a play with PS I’ll keep the PSD and make notes along the way.
Here’s two tutorials to keep you going though.
