I’m seriously thinking about buying a new camera (actually have a Canon Eos 400D with good lenses). WIth the budget I dedicated I could afford to buy a 5d Mk2 but read a lot of opinions (here and on other forums) regarding 7D (that is actually much cheaper) and regarding the AF of the 5D MK2…. so I decided to “try before buy”.
Do you know a place in Dublin where is possible to hire the 5dMk2 for 1 day test?I know Conns do camera/lens rental. I think their prices are on their website.
Other than that, see if there is a local camera club near you, or some other nice photographer who will allow you use of their camera.
I rented equipment from Conn’s and found them very good.
Also, if you decide to buy, you get the money you spent on the rental off the price of whatever you buy.
