Hobby or Peregrine?

With apologies for the poor quality of the shots, particularly the 2nd (normally I would immediately delete, but it does give you a size indication). These (there were two, possibly three) about 5km S of Carlow town on Friday last. I thought they were hobbies, but a friend assures me they were peregrines. I would not associate peregrines with the lowland farmed (rape stubble) environment. Any opinions? (On identification – I know the quality of the pics, thanks!)

I’d say peregrine. They don’t mind lowlands, but need something to nest on – usually a cliff.
Magnificent bird. First shot could have been a cracker.

    I’m thinking peregrine too.

Peregrine for me too….I’ve seen two together so I presume this could be a family  You can find them in odd locations
The centre of Dublin city for example :D College Green was a favourite haunt for them

    I’ll call them peregrines, so.
