Hole in the Sky.
-
5faytheParticipant
Travelling towards Wexford Town one evening recently I noticed a round hole in the clouds. A potential image formed in my mind. I eventually made it to the location. The hole had changed shape and I had just enough time to get a couple of frames before the scene disappeared.
Thanks for looking,
John.

shutterbugParticipantHi John, I like the colours in the sky, and the way the steeple seems to be
holding up the sky, almost tent like, well spotted!sirvadMemberits been a while since i seen an image from you John :)
this is a nice moody image, maybe lighten the top left corner. looking 4ward to seen some more !stevie glennMemberSeaviewParticipant5faytheParticipantshutterbug wrote:

Been a bit distracted lately keeping a business going and employees paid while the powers that be seem
dedicated to putting small businesses out of business. :D Rant Over!I have been making images all the time, just not getting around to contributing here.
Thanks for the encouraging comments. Here’s a version with a slight modification as suggested.
Thanks again.
John.
5faytheParticipantMany thanks to Stevie and Dave for taking the time to view and comment.
Much appreciated.John.
aoluainParticipantvery nice john
modded one is better all right to show some detail in the buildings.
5faytheParticipantHi Alan,
Nice to hear from you and your comments are much appreciated.
I suppose there’s a case to be made for both versions.
#1 is probably closer to what the scene looked like to the eye and #2 has that little bit more detail. Thanks again.
John.
IsabellaParticipantthis is a really beautiful dramatic shot! i really like the complimentary fiery orange on that building down below. the dark bluish purple in the second edit really adds a sense of richness and depth, it would look really nice projected or on a lightbox

mwallParticipantReally like this John…I can imagine the panic stations when you saw the possibility, rushed for the camera, hurried to set up…and you managed to capture it so well and sharp.
Its dark but has enough detail to be instantly recognizable.5faytheParticipantHi Mike,
Apologies for the tardy reply.
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Cheers,
John.
