Hole in the Sky.

Travelling towards Wexford Town one evening recently I noticed a round hole in the clouds. A potential image formed in my mind. I eventually made it to the location. The hole had changed shape and I had just enough time to get a couple of frames before the scene disappeared.

    Thanks for looking,

    John.

Hi John, I like the colours in the sky, and the way the steeple seems to be
holding up the sky, almost tent like, well spotted!

    Thanks Sirvad.
Been a bit distracted lately keeping a business going and employees paid while the powers that be seem
dedicated to putting small businesses out of business. :D Rant Over!

I have been making images all the time, just not getting around to contributing here.
    Thanks for the encouraging comments.

Here’s a version with a slight modification as suggested.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Alan,

Nice to hear from you and your comments are much appreciated.

I suppose there’s a case to be made for both versions.
#1 is probably closer to what the scene looked like to the eye and #2 has that little bit more detail.

    Thanks again.

    John.

this is a really beautiful dramatic shot! i really like the complimentary fiery orange on that building down below. the dark bluish purple in the second edit really adds a sense of richness and depth, it would look really nice projected or on a lightbox

Really like this John…I can imagine the panic stations when you saw the possibility, rushed for the camera, hurried to set up…and you managed to capture it so well and sharp.
Its dark but has enough detail to be instantly recognizable.
