At first I thought it was some strange grotto where a miniature version of Our Lady appeared…
But I’m guessing it’s actually a dumping ground in a graveyard for all the various worn out religious paraphernalia from the graves?
We have something similar in our local graveyard, but this looks more “organised”.
Oh and I like it btw
nfl-fanParticipantTo be honest Robbie… I don’t know what it is…
I think it’s some sort of shrine… over a pool of stagnant water… there’s a sign just above it ‘Water not suitable for drinking’.
VitoldusMemberPixelleMemberIt looks like a holy well, where people pray for a cure and leave some token behind.
I dare say nitrates, streptoccoccus or liver fluke etc have done their worst.Alan RossiterParticipantThat’s the holy water well at Our Ladies Island, isn’t it?? My young lad wanted the Ninja Turtle that’s lying in the bottom of the pool.
I’ve a couple of images of this and being honest I didn’t know what to do with them that made it interesting. It’s just a disorganised hole in the ground with, well, as you’ve shown a miniature dumping ground but you have done it some justice with the post processing. Is this fresh one or are we back cataloguing?
Alan
DeeboParticipantI like it too., I think some heavy processing could make this very good. Thinking of heavy vignette, coluour burn or some cool filters

mgstParticipantnfl-fanParticipantThanks for the feedback folks. This is a quirky one, quite bland straight off the camera, but I quite like it with the processing. It has me thinking that I might just set out a little religious artifacts sort of project… just random things in churches and graveyards.
Alan: Went out yesterday evening… from being a bright, sunny day yesterday it turned grey and greyer yesterday evening. Picked off a few shots, but nothing special, the weather was junk. Then today’s weather was supposed to be grey and cloudy… and it’s warm & sunny. That Met.ie site is unbelievable… they change the 3 day forecast every day… Sunday was had grey cloud and rain… now it has a white cloud and no rain
