Horticultural Anoraks Required

Whilst the other half was ‘doing lunch’ at the weekend I managed to get an hour or two with the flowers in St Stephens Green…. So here is my first foray outside the landscape section.

Firstly I’d be interested in your feedback… and secondly is there anyone out there particularly green fingered who can help me out with plant names for #1 & #4?

    Thanks for looking.

#1 is an Allium, not certain of the type though
    #4 looks like a Crocosmia

Some nice shots there, in particular #1 and #2.
#2 could be improved if the petal on the top left wasn’t there perhaps.

    Just a thought :)

Thanks for the info there Mark, and the feedback. I’ll see what I can do with those stray petals.

I tend to agree with you my preferences are 1 thru 4 in that order… That Allium is one hell-of-a plant – I didn’t know where to start.

Not sure I should own up to being an anorak but the first is an Allium and
fourth is Scysostylus not sure if that is the right spelling pronounced Shiz os tillus
I only know this cos they are in my garden, they are all nice shots my fave being
    the Allium :)
