How do I put photos back onto my CF card from my PC?

I am pondering a digital photo frame, and I would want to put a selection of photos from my PC onto a spare card which I will use in the frame.

So how do I do it? I thought I could just drag and drop, but that is not working, it doesn’t let me.

    Anybody done it before?

if you look in the manual for the frame it will tell you

the ones where i have loaded images, the images need to be at particular sizes and only certain formats etc

Well I haven’t bought the frame yet. I just want to know is it possible, and how, to put pictures onto my CF card right now.

put your card in a memory card reader, and then just drag the pictures on

i assume from what your saying your trying to do it by connecting the camera, as far as i know this wont work

just use a memory card reader it should cost you about 10 or 15 euros to buy one if you dont have one

Copying the image files back onto the card while in the camera used to work on a Fuji finepix i used have.

It would work but if the images where a higher resolution than the cameras best setting they would not playback on the camera itself.

I used to do this to get pictures printed before i got a memory stick and then a card reader and these have so many advantages and are quite cheap now i would recomend getting one.

    Hope thats of some use

I gave up trying it through my 400d, but I tried with a Powershot A80 and using Zoombrowser EX i can do it. It even lets me change the quality of the images. Excellent.

I will probably pick up a card reader though as I’d like to do it with my 400d.

I cant recomend getting a reader enough as it saves your camera batteries and the socket on the camera wont get a battering and i think the card readers are much faster then the camera is if you know what i mean :)

Also you dont need any software to transfer images its just a usb device.

    Hope that helps
