ANSWER: Depends on what is required and how much coverage are you willing to pay for !
Vague answer to a vague question I’m afraid. Any photographer who could put an exact figure to such a question would give me cause for concern.
This is a “how long is a piece of string” question. It’s a bit like calling your local garage and asking “How much is a car” ?
It is more important to know what your needs are, determine for yourself what is available out there through by doing a bit of foot work ……. by calling around to visit studios. Find out what do you get for your money and what is the quality level that is achievable by each studio visited. Also ….. will the photographer make your day enjoyable or painful (there is no point in having stunning photographs and find that the memories of taking the photographs are sour ……….. “We were taking pictures all day” or worse still having family and friends insulted and “peed off” by the photographer all because the communication skills and people skills are absent. This is taking the joy of the occasion away and leaving a sour taste and unhappy memories …. it happens … believe me !). Will the results be acceptable and will the Photographer whom you have booked personally do your wedding or will a “stringer” do it instead. Has the photographer got proper professional equipment and back-up equipment on stand-by and most of all …… is the photographer insured and revenue compliant.
Everybody offers something different together with unique packages. YOU must be happy with what you are going to get.Like buying a car, you can buy the car complete for, say, 10000 euro (fully finished as a package) or you can buy all the parts, one at a time and spend a fortune on it and put it together yourself. With a wedding you can buy a package complete or have the photographs taken and get it done in stages ………. the package will be cheaper.
