TIP:If you are photographing badgers by remotely firing your camera, make sure you check it’s in focus before you leave it!

I have 90 OOF photos of this little chap. I was clicking away, delighted with myself until I checked the LCD at the end of the night. Gutted!

Fair play Padraig for even showing these. Sometimes we get complacent and the simplest of things we overlook and learn form them. only last week i went out and left my box of CF cards at home. Talk about having to “Choose” the shots!!

Yes Padraig, well done for showing these. It sure is hard luck but I’m sure you’ll have more opportunities to capture similar images. I bet you still enjoyed the experience even though you didn’t get any keepers, it rare these days to be able to watch badger cubs.

I agree, fair play for showing the missed shots !. Just shows that you can’t get it right everytime.

Ya got some awesome shots of in focus briar’s and brambles! but theres a grey/black/white blur blocking them in each shot :D

Sorry, only kidding around, its great that you posted these, a great reminder that even good photographers can get it wrong and to just try again.

Even though they ended up being ruined, the effort & skill to get that close to them shows a level of expertise I still dream of, thanks for posting these.

That is a bummer Padraig, but at least you know where they are and you can
repeat the process. He is the cutest little badger, I look forward to seeing more.
