How to get this effect.

Hi guys, Not sure if this is posted in the correct thread.
I really love the high contrast and unsaturated yet sharp look as seen in this pic. However I can never seem to get anything near it can anybody give me any tips on how to acheive this look.

Maybe lighting was used & a tripod. Metering might be different to what you have used also!
What is wrong with the shots you are taking? It’s difficult to answer a question without seeing a comparison.
I’m not saying that I’ll have any answers for you but maybe someone with a lot more exp’ will.
