I brought the camera to a hurling match for the first time this afternoon.
Any feedback on processing, technique or anything else would be greatly appreciated.
It was my first time using the lens, so it took me a while to realise it’s capabilities and I had to hold back on trying to capture everything that happened. I think I’ll be better prepared next time in any case.
Nice shot Sean, the third on for me is the best. I have only tried to photograph hurling once and it’s a lot more difficult than it looks. You done a fine job with these for your first attempt.
The hardest thing I found was retaining my composure. At times I was just snapping away at nothing.
In the first half, I stayed in Eoin McGrath’s corner when Mullane was running riot by comparison in the other corner. I regret not going over to where the action really was now.
Dave: I got a mate to bring the Nikon 80-200 f/2.8 home from the states for me two weeks ago.
