Well folks, the procedure went absolutely fine, thank God. Arrived at 5.40pm yesterday, was called in at 6.15 and back in car by 6.55pm! Could see a big improvement already at that early stage, except for a slightly hazy view of everything. Came home, went to bed and slept for about 3 hours. Woke up and could see Father Ted on more4 on the bedroom tv! No pain what-so-ever, didn’t even need to use any of the pain relief drops they gave me.
Woke up this morning and removed the plastic shields – WOW! 8) 8) Could see miles down the fields at the back of our house! Had a check-up today and surgeon said all is perfect, couldn’t be better!
I still have a slight haze around up-close bright objects but it’s disappearing already. I am thrilled with how it went, amazed at the results. I will be honest and say I was terrified right before I went in! It WAS uncomfortable, I must admit. Not at all painful, but very strange feeling, the pressure they put on your eye-ball is the worst part. The Laser bit is a doddle. I am only sorry I didn’t get it done years ago! Would recommend it to anybody!
Thanks to all on PI for the good wishes throughout! :P
Thats really fantastic, dont forget to adjust the diopter on your viewfinder :)
my eyesight has gone downhill rapid and it must be wonderful to have clear
vision again, must look into it!! (scuse the pun)
