I remember when…

Another one from Cuba – in the square at La Habana Vieja. This guy would sit there all day and draw… I conversed with him a little in Spanish, didn’t quite flow but from what I got he said he was drawing pictures of things he remembered from his youth.

The quality wasn’t too good on this shot… so had to do a bit of messing around with the post processing – hense some over-sharpened areas.

    C&C welcome :)

    Cheers

    Hi Jay
Another one with bags of character. Lots of detail and a good story to boot

    Looks good to me Jay. I wouldn’t be overly concerned about the sharpening;
it might be just about right for printing…

I really love the way these are processed, I want to be able to
    process like that!!
I think if you had been standing slightly to the left it might have
improved the picture. What I mean is, the dark post between the
blue door and the wall wouldn’t have been so distracting as where
it is at the moment (coming out of his shoulder).

    Lovely though!

    Hi Jay~~

I was thinking exactly the same thing that Sinead mentioned. I looked at it and thought..now why did the guy have to sit right exactly there.. :?

This series is turning out so beautiful..what a lovely document of your time there.

You have the processing down to the art and it’s been evenly presented all along. (thank those presets you saved)

I hope you are planning on presenting this all together somewhere when you are done..book form is fine

The post-processing is fantastic. I think the shot would have more impact if the subjects eyes were visible. I can almost picture them.

    I like it-
another one in a very good series-

I did notice the sharpening you mentioned though,
and I was going to say something about it,
but you beat me to it-
