    Certainly seems that way Tomas.

I’m not the best in the world at fiddling about with stuff like that…so no major mods for me…the insulating tape over the Red window is probably as far as I’ll go

Anyone else got any Holga mishap stories then?

    Thanks Geoff,

I’m still waiting on a roll of B/w 35mm that I sent off to Ilfords to be developed and printed.

My enthusiasm might dimish if all these films come back awful…hehe!!

Then again..it’s my first time using film properly..so I don’t have particularly high expectations

Now Robbie, the sooner you start developing your own film,
the sooner you’ll be able to post nagging little irritating comments like this one-

    We’ll see..we’ll see.

You just keep nagging…and I’ll see whether my enthusiasm stretches that far

Maybe I need to watch someone “develop” a dummy roll first and see how easy/difficult it is.

    You volunteering J? :D

Well…got to the end of my first roll. Turned down the lights and open the back of the Holga expecting a really loose roll of film..but the film was nice and tight on the roll..popped out like a dream and sealed it up. Was a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to lick the taper though…it just had a cover that ypu pull off to reveal the sticky surface.

Put the new roll of film (Ilford 400 B/w) and it loaded much easier. I found the original spool in the Holga kept slipping. This just caught right away.

Happy days..now to see if I managed to take any half decent shots with it :D
