I’m just resting my eyes
-
GrahamBParticipant
I was one of those who went trailing after Ciaran at the weekend.
I am reluctant to post anything after his picture “Despair”.
it kinda seems a little pointless to be honest but in light of
my apparent need to learn quite a bit I’m throwing this one up.Have fun with your comments. Oh and you are barred from the obvious. Clutter and
the womens face that is over exposed. Thanks Folks
ciaranParticipantMy first comment is that it’s a teeny bit small. I understand people want to protect their images online, but for a shot that has so much going on in it, I think you need to post a slightly bigger one. Then I can tell you her face is blown ;)
ExpresbroParticipantAgreed!! In this case Graham, bigger is definitely better
Looks like a really interesting shot. I’m trying to figure out what he is doing that he seems to have drifted into a doze like that?
Robbie
GrahamBParticipantExpresbroParticipantJaysus…when we said Bigger..
don’t think we meant THAT bigger…hehehe!!
GrahamBParticipantListen Goldilocks.
I post them too big I get given out to,
I post them too small and I get given out to.What size would be “just right”
ExpresbroParticipant*Nibbles on the big bad grumpy bears porridge*
Hmm..how about twice the size of the original….as long as i don’t need a whole bank of monitors linked together to see the whole pic is fine…
Robbie
GrahamBParticipantExpresbroParticipantI’m just gonna have to buy a 21″ monitor instead of this 19″…hehehe!! (Just kidding.. )
It’s a great shot Graham…still curious as to why he just almost looks to have fallen asleep standing up…and why that guy in the background is staring so intently at him? is a great “story” shot. You could write a couple of essays based on around it I think.
I think there are even more really good shots to come from our little aimless wander. Definitely have to do it again some time.

8)SusieSMemberI like these streetshots a lot.
They are so full of life, well all aspects of life.
I should try to take some streetshot,
but feel too shy to just go out there.
Have like know glue where to start.
Or what to do.GrahamBParticipantI have to apologise for the whole image size thing.
I am running two 21″ monitors and I have the res set very high
for work reasons.I’ll scale down in future.
This guy was selling news papers. this shot was taken while Ciaran was climbing bins.
I was just glancing around and saw the guy nodding and he seemed to be talking to himself.ExpresbroParticipantWell next time we head out why don’t ya tag along Susie. Honestly, apart from Ciaran and Lorraine the rest of us were like you…but it’s amazing when you’re with a group how your confidence grows. :D

Generally, maxing out at 1024 on the bigger dimension is safe for most people’s resolutions. :)
GrahamBParticipantDepending on the weather I’m actually going to make saturdays in town a regular pilgrimage.
I think I found the area of photography that interests me the most. I really enjoyed the diversity
around town.
Thanks in no small part to Ciarans encouragement and expert eye for a good shot.SusieS – if you want to come along one day just shout or PM.
ciaranParticipantIf the weather is bad, town makes for even more interesting photos… so dont let that deter you!
I think this shot just lacks a little bit of focus Graham. Conversion is nice, albeit it a little contrasty (I persume thats a result of the contrast on the day and your style of processing), its sharp and relatively well exposed. But I’m left wondering what exactly I’m meant to be looking at, as it’s a tad too busy.
