Hi folks,
Just upgraded to a mac and was wondering if anyone the procedure for embedding pictures with a mac. I have checked irfanview and it appears it is solely a windows based application , would be grateful for any help.
MartinParticipantDont know exactly what your looking for. Are you looking for photo editing programs?
If so, on the MAC I use Photoshop (fairly expensive) and Bibble (good bit cheaper)
I dont use it but there is also Photoshop Elements which is cheapish. You could also just search the web for free picture editing software for the mac
Congrats on the mac
MicarusParticipantMartin,
Thanks for your reply, apologies for the lack of clarity, what I am actually looking is how to embed photos on this site but using a mac operating system. Previously i have used irfanview to facilitate getting the pictures onto the site but it doesn’t appear to work with a MAC. Any ideas anyone?
MartinParticipantirfanview i think is photo editing software that lets you resize the picture for the web. problem is that it only runs on windows. You need to get a photo editing program like I have listed above that works with the MAC. Do a search on Google…

can’t you export from iPhoto?
it’s been a while since I’ve used it…I had a look at iPhoto. Good little free tool, don’t think it allows you to resize down though for the web….
icarusParticipantThanks for the replies all.
For those that acquire a mac i have found that iphoto in conjunction with photobucket is the absolute easiest way to go, much more straight forward than any windows application i came across
damien.murphyParticipantYou can get a few nice plugin’s that will allow you to upload directly to facebook/ picasaweb/ etc. also, fyi
