I got this while trying out to see how drops behave when striking a solid surface & liked the explosive shockwave effect but I wasn’t happy with the colour of the surface & decided to convert it to B&W.interesting… was the surface dry? i’d imagine its different again if theres a really thin layer of water on it…

Yes, the surface was dry & you get a splash effect with the drop in the centre if the surface is wet beforehand. I would indeed be a fan of Edgerton. I particularily like how his high speed images manage to show motion at different stages.
