Impluse buy "keep it or not"

Hi myself and the wife have been looking to get a “decent” camera for sometime now as we both like to take a good picture and both like it as a hobby. I made an impulse buy of a Fuji S200 and was wondering if it is a good buy or not for a first timer?
It would be mainly be for still pictures of people and places and the odd time I will take it to Car trackdays. I’m sure I could change it for something else if recommend. I am working with a €500 budget.
Any help greatly appreciated. :D
Keep it, it’s perfect for figuring out what do you want from a camera. And post some pictures, when you have a few good ones.
