While on a bit of a photo walk around DC (Dublin City) recently I took a number of shots including the SB Bridge – I found it hard to resist. She just sort of sits there daring you to do it.
I was surprised with the number of what I would consider keepers, but mostly they were nothing out of the ordinary.
I came up with this one though, which was a vertical panorama, stiched together in PS5. I pushed it deliberatly mainly in LR3 to give it the extremes of dark darks and blown sky (dont say it!).
I like it. I think because most of the photos of the bridge are when she has full makeup on and is posing for the camera… I sort of snuck up behind her and caught her the morning after :D
Hi Des, it does have a certain grittiness about it which I guess is coming from the
extremes of black and white, and I quite like it too. Well done for trying for something
different. :)
Hi Des,
I know that feeling, have to resist the temptation every time I go past it!! I like what you have done above, it is different from the dressed up versions as you say and there is a nice tone about it.
I agree with your approach … Black and White photographs should sometimes be BLACK and WHITE. I’d still have burned the sky in though to be “Black” in the image :-).
