Well I haven’t been posting for a while – pretty much distracted by panels and club things over the last while – but feeling much more chilled about photography and got into some shots recently, and feeling the urge to cross process.. so the times and processing i realise will not be for everyone … but feel free to throw your oar in – I can take it :)

jessthespringerParticipantI like it. It’s quite different.
Love the cross processed look, but quite a bit of detail has been lost from the dress, especially around her hips, which kinda seems
to draw attention to that area, then that kinda makes me think the pose looks a little awkward…It also makes me wonder what the front of the dress is like. And, the jewelry.
Maybe showing those things might be more important for a fashion shoot? I don’t know though, I have no experience of it.
Sorry if that sound negative, just my thoughts.

LoGillParticipantYeah – lookin at it here – it has defnately blown detail in the dress ( yikes !! – i should know better) – it may have happened when I sharpened the JPG – in the larger version there is detail there when I check levels – but I definately think this looks blown ..
In terms of pose and displaying the outfit – yeah I know what you mean – but I don’t interpret fashion strictly as a selling agent for the clothes / jewellery etc – For me often fashion imagery is about the idea or feeling and its playnig arund with that kind of thing i find most interesting about it .. ;)
I’ll get back to this one over the next few days and see if I can tweak this

firekingParticipantLovely image, but I agree with the lack of dress detail for Fashion. My own thoughts… theres a conflict with the almost smiling model in a summer dress and the gloomy backdrop. I’m expecting a sad face missing someone go to sea… or is that why she’s almost smily:-)
JMac-2006Participanthave to say I like the cross processed look on the background – just wonder as others have commented if you could mask out the girl to keep detail in the dress and natural features on the face – might be worth relooking at this and trying another edit
i like the contrast of location and nicely dressed model
