Just to the left of centre, the two mountains that look like a pair of breasts :-) are Ireland’s two highest peaks: Carrauntoohill (on the right) and Beenkeragh (on the left).
Very nice John, I do think there’s too much foreground and could do with being cropped. If you have the pixels I think it would make a great pano shot, the mountains and the sky look great. Really like your conversion also.

The curve of the shoreline is really good and I’d say
it would look very good printed large.Well done.

Nowt wrong with the crop in our opinions – great lead in line and fantastic B&W conversion.
Although a pano would work you would lose too much of that lead in line.

i really like this one. i wouldn’t crop it. the first thing i saw was the little section of froth in the foreground, and went from there backwards and up the mountains. the bird’s cool too. :wink:
Lovely shot, don’t crop it! I do find the mid section a little too bright and pulls attention away from the skyline, you are led to look at the mountains but just below the bright light becomes distracting after a while. I stuck a gradient on this of 9% and it keeps the light in the distant clouds just a tad brighter than their reflections.
We really love it…
I think it’s full of mood.
My alter ego loves those silvery tones.
It’s not often we both agree… but in this case we’re both happy.

I too love this shot and would definitely not crop it. I reckon this would look fantastic printed as large as possible. Great processing work.
Very nice shot and several possible good crops from this one image.
The wash leads you right through the scene and the gull works great
