Ineriors in Cork City for Fashion shoot?

    Hello All.

I’ve been shooting and building a location list in order to kick start my fashion portfolio. The problem is it’s November and freezing and they all appear to be outdoor at the moment. Does anyone have ideas of striking, convenient locations in Cork City that are also accessible? The exterior backdrops I am shooting are mainly industrial and I prefer to work at night, so I would want the interiors to follow the same theme. Not necessarily industrial, but I want to avoid cliches. No fancy, old fashioned hotels, tourist board style pubs etc. I’m struggling to think of contemporary locations. I have done a shoot at the old city gaol and that worked out very well. Another idea was backstage among the rigging at the Everyman Theatre, I know someone in there whose ear I can bend. Some additional details: I would only be shooting one model, not using natural light, two 200ws flashheads with a good selection of modifiers, and a speedlite would be my lighting package at the moment.

A lot of the on location interiors I see in established hotels and manor houses remind me too much of high end wedding photography. I am looking for either striking and modern, or dilapidated and mysterious. Will be shooting full length with a 28mm lens for some of it, so suggestions for vast spaces with good leading lines as well as smaller spaces are appreciated. And when I say accessible, they don’t have to open to the public, just a space that I might have a reasonable chance of getting permission to shoot in.

    Thanks in advance,
    Cian
