Infared shot

Just doing some infared shots for the first time, so I thought I’d put this up for some C&C. The lamp post is a bit to central but at the time something had to suffer for the composition. Let me know what ye think anyway.

    Well I really like this.

A difficult one to compose I suppose but all the same
that post is not too bad as there is plenty to take the
    attention away from it.

I think for me the extreme left and right are a little
low in general Image quality. Theere seems to be very
low contrast and tonal range there particularly on the left
so I would crop the off TBH.

Tones elsewhere seem to be great.

Oviously there is big compression issues showing
up in the sky above the lamp post.

    Nice one

I really like this, as soon as I seen it I i thought that this is a really nice image.
Upon closer inspections I agree with Alan, some flaws that could be cropped or brushed out. Esp the cloud above the lampopst, its very pixelated and could be clones out of blurred out maybe.

Looking forward to seeing some more.

    Hi Joe,
I’d say from an IR point of view ,you did fairly well.
Apart from the little niggles that have been pointed out, it looks well to me.

I think it looks good, minor niggles and all! It’s nice and sharp, did you use an IR converted camera? I’ve tried a few shots with a Hoya R72 IR filter on a Fuji S7000 and also on my S3 Pro, but the inherent change in focus always stops me getting good results. I’ve never got one that pleased me.
    Alex.
