Info regarding statistics?

Just wondering if anybody out there would know where I can locate some industry statistics relating to the Irish market? Or some market research reports relating to photography? The CSO doesn’t seem to have it…
Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

stats about what, how many photographers?? or how much people spend on portraits etc

Size of market (domestic), current performance, historical performance, industry revenue, average spenditure, industry gross profit, key growth trends, key products and services, expectation outlines? Anything really I can get my hands on (haven’t tried to source this info before)…..portrait business, no commercial, corporate, landscape etc…

why not create a poll/survey and ask people on the site to answer it….. i think theres a site surveymonkey.com or something like that which will allow you to create a survey – FREE.
all you need then is people to fill it out – made easier by jumping online to various forums and getting people to answer survey – hey presto …survey done !
Gather results – calculate data.

i would think its the kind of thing she would either have or know where to look
the other place would be the IPPA, they may already have the facts and figures
Wish I had the spare time to create the statistics myself but got a deadline!

You need a sample size of I think 1011 (long time since I studied statistics in college) to
gain an accurate set of stats. You’d find it hard to get that many professional photographers
to fill in a survey and also ensure that its only pros.Maybe the IPPA would have some information available ?
