Hi people,
I was just wondering if anybody knows where i could source some infrared film and if so do they also know where i could get it developed?
Thanks,
BarryMartinParticipantGunns on Wexford St in Dublin sell Ilford SFX I think (haven’t checked in a while so ring ahead) they will develop also for you…
After that you might need to buy over the web e.g. where I get mine is http://www.macodirect.de
Have fun
MhooperParticipantredfoxMemberThere is a lady in Kinsale that may be able to process your film, Hetty I think is her name and I think she has a website called hettysdarkroom, try a search and you may find her, I tried her some years back and found her to be great and not expensive, I do my own now.
MarkKeymasterBarry,
If you do use macodirect, it might be worth while letting folk know here and do a group buy to cut down on their postage (some folk
do that from time to time) Anyhow, just a thought for you :)Developing yourself is very easy too and worth a shot sometime. Of course you’d probably need to either print in the darkroom or scan the negs…
thefizzParticipanthooperParticipantThanks for the information, ill see what the story is with Gunns first and check out Hetty.
Ill keep in mind about macodirect though and group buy’s, if i do end up getting it from there or anything else in the future. I have to get started on developing for myself as it is and im working in getting darkroom gear so ill definitely give it a go sometime.
stewart kennyMemberhey, very difficult to get hold of true it film since Kodak stopped making how. rolling and add have only w very limited if sensitivity. and reqiore a hoya 72 filter or similar. I find the website digital truth to be the best supplier at least in terms of choice and format. and since its only true bw film. any decent lab can process it.. hope this helps
