Using Kodak HIE infrared B&W film long out of date.

Ah! Vincent great image, love the grain, shame HIE is not being made anymore, commands a great price on e-bay these days.

A beautiful exposure with good composition, I just wonder with those strong verticals, and that big intersecting black branch across the top, I’d love to see a really wide portrait composition of the same scene too, my one other caveat is the margins I often feel that they take a little from an image, but this is highly subjective and preferential on my part, and this is a fine image nonetheless, especially considering the technical considerations of shooting IR.

Thanks for your comments paul & cypeapplejuice much appreciated. What attracted me to the scene was the long branch across the top, it was to my mind tying the trees together which I thought was unusual. The white margin and black outline is how I generally mount my work, a wide border and a double mount the inner one is black and the outer one off white. I usually only show about 5mm of the black mount so my presentation here is more or less what you would see when my work is exhibited. I have gone through different presentations over the years but this is the one that I favour now.
    Thanks again for your comments.
