I am in a camera club and we have monthly competitions and one thing that ALL the judges say, is “Never include a photographer taking a photograph in a photograph”.
This is a case in point. The photographer has become the subject of interest in this shot, taking away from the beautiful, lines and curves and tones inside this amazing building. And the person is slightly out of focus so that’s what the viewer notices.
For the second one, I like the viewpoint and the composition but I think the door taking up half the frame is a bit too much and it is overpowering the whole image. Rule of thirds applied here would help.
