    I’ve taken tons of this type of shot and you’ve got a similar problem as 99% of mine – to my eyes the most important part doesn’t appear to be properly in focus. In this case I feel it’s the central yellow area. Also, there are a lot of blown highlights. I’m guessing you were going for a high-key effect?
    On a positive note though (sorry), the composition is quite good.

    Yeah, I know what you mean about the focus Mark. I’ll have another go. Have you had a guess at the macro in the other thread yet ???

    Might be best to make the lighting a bit more even as well. As it is, it looks like there was harsh sunlight coming from the top. A dull day would give better results maybe. Or even a net curtain. All high tech stuff like that :roll:
    Looked at the other pic a few times and I’m stumped. Trendy porcupine maybe? Doesnt make a bad abstract though.
