Had a go at infra red, appreciate your thoughts good or bad, thinking of branching out( excuse the pun :) ).
IsabellaParticipantinteresting… I’m a big fan of infrared. is this IR in shooting or pp? if in shooting what grade of filter? film or digital?
sirvadMemberTis in PP, Not a big fan of it in pp but tried it in nik filters and pretty happy with the results. may be getting a camera converted soon :)
IsabellaParticipantI’ve only ever done it while shooting and never used nik software. looks good though, i wonder if there really is much of a difference what with the wonders of modern technology. only one way to find out i guess! Film is fun too!
id love to have a converted camera. some day when I’ve all the money in the world :D
back to the image though i think id prefer a wee bit more detail, the tree trunks are really beautiful but they tease the imagination without giving quite enough to carry the whole image…
AnonymousParticipantOnly a small critique & that is I find your sig’ a little distracting in the corner.
Otherwise another beautiful image.sirvadMembercheers John. yeah i like it myself and so far… i havent got tired of it, ( the picture i mean and not me sig :) ) thanks for your time !
RASMITH32MemberSorry Sirvad, im not seeing it on this one. The composition of the shot lacks balance and any point of interest and the INfrared processing is just blowing any detail or definition and appear mopre important than the basic composition itself. IMO IR processing should complement a good composition
jodal1975ParticipantThis is way over processed to me sirvad. I know you like to push it out there, it’s your style , and quite often I really like it . But not on this occasion . I have a feeling this may have worked In a simple b and w
sirvadMemberthanks for the comments. The only processing was to convert to an IR in nik filters. Composition i am happy with. Focal point… well for me its the tree on the right third, but sometimes people get all caught up with the rules of composition. as a clever old man once advised- make up your own F*****G rules, and thats what i do :)
thanks again for looking and commenting on, really appreciated !
